Authentic Jazz Dancing

Abigail's great-grand parents met social dancing in New York in the 1930's. In the late 1990's she was brought into the Lindy Hop community when her mother started dancing. She won her first Authentic Jazz contest when she was in kindergarten. She competed and trained at Rutgers University with both the swing dance club and team.

With a Masters Degree in Social studies Education her classes are rooted in a focus on connection to history and one another. She has taught with local venues and swing dances such as Allways Caberet in New Orleans, Jazz Attack Swings, and RagTag in Philadelphia. Abigail is a regular DJ at the Mobtown Ballroom in Baltimore. In 2022 she taught Lindy Hop at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY and directed five competitions for Lindy Focus XX.

In 2022 and 2023 Abigail directed the Lindy Autonomous Zone. A multiday Jazz, music, culture, and history festival in New Orleans.
